Hungry Gaming was my first official solo game development project, you might saw something similar if you read through the Epic Food Battle's blog before. Yes, is another homage to FOOD, my fuel to push forward but of course the my main goal is to explore and give a fresh twist to the Shoot Em Up genre

Bullets, laser beams, alien and spaceships, these are all the word we will associate with when we are talking about a typical shoot em up game. Hence my Shoot Em Up game idea is simple but with a slightly different theme, instead of shooting bullet to kills enemies, we are going to shoot different ingredients into an empty bowl, buns or empty banana leaf wrap. coming towards us and serve it to the customers. The food can range from bowl of ramen, a Ramlee burger and even packet of Nasi Lemak. I want to make a shoot em up game filled with food and culinary element instead of destructive weapon and scary creatures.

The idea is inspired by this video that I saw online:

It's basically a speed gun devices or automated process that a Japanese create to make Shrimp Tempura within seconds, I am amazed and awed by the idea of being able to make a delicious food in such a fun and creative way. There's all I am going to write here, if you wish to know more about how the game is made in 6 weeks, go ahead and click here to check out the week by week development blog and click here to play the game on Kongregate.

Inspiration can come from something random yet creative
