Gentlemen of the Rainbow - A Fantasy Wonderland

   I was lucky enough to be able to be heavily involved with the development of the game during my first game jam. The game as it's name suggested is an combination of a romance visual novel and rhythm game which it’s result will affect the story ending of the game. The game backstory is about a girl cross-dressing as a guy in order to replace his brother in a boy band and perform across the world fighting their rival band.

   I was mainly involved in the game designing and a bit of the resource gathering  part of the development process. I was heavily participating in the story building for the game and I was managed to learn the skill needed to create a fluent and interesting draft for the game dialogue after a short discussion with the lead designer of the team. Besides, I was also tasked to design the scoring system for the rhythm game part of the project. It was a really good learning experience for me as I am able to do research based on existing rhythm scoring system and develop a more balance and versatile scoring system within a short amount of time. Apart from the designing part of the project, I was also fortunate enough to be managing and gathering some of the project's asset. It was a brand new experience for me as I was able to learn how to simplify and optimise the asset list for the team.

   I was blessed to work with such a talented team and able to gain a lot of experience to sharpen my skills. The project really inspired and motivated me to join more game jam in order to talk with and learn more from other game developer around.

Being assigned to come out with romantic comedy dialogue for my first visual novel game was quite some task
